Ticker Quest App Privacy

This page describes the data practices of the Ticker Quest iPhone app specifically. For our website privacy policy covering specmatestudios.com, see the link below. Website Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 4, 2026

Summary

Ticker Quest does not require an account. When analytics is enabled, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect limited technical and usage information. No personal data such as your name, email, or real financial information is collected. All game data is stored locally on your device.

Information Stored on Your Device

Ticker Quest does not require an account. Player-entered names, game choices, fictional market activity, portfolios, achievements, and save data are stored locally on your device. Ticker Quest does not connect to a real brokerage, bank, or investment account. All companies, prices, portfolios, and market data in the game are fictional.

Deleting your local data

Local game data can be removed using Reset Current Game or by deleting the app. Reset Current Game permanently deletes the active run and cannot be undone, but historical badges and completed playthrough records stored in the separate player archive remain on the device. Deleting the app removes all local save data.

Analytics Information We Collect

When analytics is enabled, Ticker Quest uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect limited technical and usage information. This information may include:

  • •An app-instance identifier and an Apple Identifier for Vendor;
  • •App version, device model, operating-system version, and language;
  • •General geographic region derived from an IP address; and
  • •App lifecycle and interaction events, such as first launch, app opens, sessions, and basic screen interactions.

Ticker Quest does not send Firebase your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, real financial-account information, fictional game balances or holdings, or individual game decisions.

Ticker Quest does not include IDFA collection capability and does not use analytics information for personalized advertising.

How We Use Analytics Information

  • •Measure app launches and the effectiveness of campaigns promoting Ticker Quest;
  • •Understand general engagement and how app features are used;
  • •Maintain and improve Ticker Quest; and
  • •Detect broad usage trends and technical issues.

How We Share Information

Google processes analytics information through Google Analytics for Firebase. Our Google Analytics property is linked to our Google Ads account so we can measure whether promotional campaigns result in app launches. Personalized advertising is disabled, and Ticker Quest does not display third-party ads inside the app.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; protect the rights, safety, and security of users, SpecMate Studios, or others; or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets subject to applicable privacy obligations.

More information about Google’s data practices:

Your Choices

You can stop future analytics collection at any time in Ticker Quest by opening Settings, finding Privacy, and turning off Share Anonymous Analytics. Your choice is stored on your device and remains in effect when you reopen the app.

Because Ticker Quest does not require an account and Firebase analytics data is associated with pseudonymous app and device identifiers, we may not be able to associate a privacy request with a particular analytics record. You may contact us at privacy@specmatestudios.com with questions or requests concerning our privacy practices.

Data Retention

We configure Google Analytics to retain user-level and event-level analytics data for up to two months. Aggregated reporting may remain available for longer under Google's standard reporting practices. Local game data remains on your device until you reset the game or delete the app.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Ticker Quest is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of this policy, contact us at privacy@specmatestudios.com.

International Processing

SpecMate Studios is based in the United States. Google and other service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have data-protection laws different from those where you live.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Ticker Quest or our privacy practices change. We will post the revised policy and update its effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
